Accompanied by a guide and depending on the time of day and the shopkeepers present, you can taste the Loubia (white beans in a tomato sauce), to Moroccan Hummus (whole chickpeas boiled and sprinkled with cumin and salt), to olives full of flavour, to filled Msemens (flaky pancakes), to Jben (a cream cheese dish), to Sfenj (delicious doughnuts eaten for breakfast or a snack), and to the Raib (curdled milk)... and for the more adventurous, to the Berbouch (lightly spiced snails) or Tehan (stuffed veal spleen)! And the visit ends with a meal of Machoui (lunchtime only) or with a Tanjia Marrakechia a typical dish from the ochre city. All the Marrakech street food we love!
We offer two different routes through the medina:
- The classic route, around Jemaa el Fna Square. There is relatively little walking, and you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of the square, although there are quite a few tourists.
- The off the beaten path route, through the Bab Doukkala neighborhood, also ending at Jemaa el Fna Square. This route is a little more off the beaten path and is ideal for those looking for something more adventurous. There is also a bit more walking, while still ending at Jemaa el Fna Square so you can enjoy its atmosphere.
