Just 40 minutes from Agadir, a family farm tucked away in the Moroccan countryside opens its doors for a creative and meditative embroidery workshop, rooted in an art that holds a central place in Moroccan artisanal heritage and is passed down from generation to generation within households. Oumayma welcomes you over a mint tea and homemade sweets, before guiding you through the family estate to share the challenges and joys of a return to the land after a career as an economics specialist. It is in this soothing setting, between olive trees and birdsong, that your embroidery workshop takes on its full meaning: Oumayma introduces you to the tools and the movements, stitches, knots and thread tension, before the decisive step, choosing the colours. A vivid Majorelle blue for a touch of modernity, or a soft olive green to stay in harmony with the vegetable garden? Once your pattern is drawn and your threads selected, you transfer your creation onto a tote bag that becomes your canvas. Concentration turns into meditation, and as your hands take to these age-old gestures of Moroccan embroidery, the atmosphere grows warm and the laughter flows. You leave with a unique embroidered bag and the memory of a wonderful encounter in Berber country.

Wear comfortable clothing that lets you sit easily on cushions on the floor.
The workshop takes place outdoors among the olive trees, but will be held indoors in the event of bad weather.
A few tips to avoid any awkward moments: in Morocco, men and women shake hands but do not kiss on the cheek.
You can combine this workshop with our other workshops at the farm (Amazigh calligraphy, traditional brick-making or the cooking workshop) for a full day immersed in Amazigh culture, and/or add lunch before the workshop.
