Situated to the south of Marrakech, the Ourika valley is a popular destination for Marrakchis, particularly in summer when the temperatures in the ochre city become unbearable (it is around 10°C cooler). The Ourika wadi offers a wide variety of landscapes : green fields, orchards, rocky hills and hilltop villages. Spending the day here means taking a breath of fresh air between two days in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech ! !
Your driver will take you to Setti Fatma, deep in the Ourika Valley (expect about a 1.5-hour drive through beautiful landscapes). The Ourika Valley excursion begins with a a lovely 3-hour walk off the beaten track, accompanied by your certified mountain guide (and a mule for young children), to discover the Ourika valley as few people know it! Our aim: to get you away from the famous waterfalls, which are very (too) popular with tourists and are of less and less interest now that there is a shortage of water and help you discover other, more authentic parts of this beautiful valley.
After the effort, the comfort: it will be time to sustenance with a lunch with your feet in the water (of the Ourika wadi. It's a real pleasure to enjoy a good tajine to the sound of the lapping water (you can swim in the wadi in season)! In winter, you can warm up around the fireplace. On the way back to Marrakech, we suggest you visit the Anima garden: a wonderful dreamlike garden filled with sculptures and other colourful works of art, created by the Austrian artist André Heller; a masterpiece!

Don't forget to bring a bottle of water per person, and possibly a small snack to give you strength halfway through the hike..
