Hafida and her family warmly welcome you into their traditional home, a place filled with history and hospitality. For generations, this family has preserved the ancestral art of argan oil production, a precious heritage passed down from mother to daughter, though the men of the family are also actively involved in harvesting the argan fruit (with the help of goats, but we’ll leave that as a surprise !).
Upon your arrival, Hafida will introduce you to the secrets of this regional agriculture, where the argan tree is an iconic symbol. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in every step of the argan oil-making process. Under the expert guidance of your hosts, you'll learn how to skillfully crack the nuts (watch your fingers!), then press and strain them to extract the precious oil. This journey into tradition doesn't stop at learning. At the end of the workshop, you’ll get to taste the oil you made yourself. We guarantee you’ve never tasted anything so flavorful and fragrant !

A few tips to avoid faux pas: In Morocco, men and women shake hands but don’t kiss on the cheek. We eat with the right hand (except when using a fork). Shoes should be removed before stepping on a carpet. Wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees, and women should avoid low necklines.
If you prefer to bring a small gift for your hosts instead of leaving a tip, local culinary or artistic specialties from your region are always a good idea.
Hafida and her family sell their own production of argan oil (for culinary and cosmetic use), amlou (a spread made from almonds, honey, and argan oil), and honey. Take the opportunity to buy local and bring quality products back home !
And above all, don’t eat too much before the experience!
