The hammam in Agadir we offer has nothing to do with the touristy hammams: here, you step into a real neighbourhood hammam, the kind Moroccans go to every day, simple, authentic and communal. The traditional hammam is an integral part of life in Morocco: it is not only a place for cleansing, but also a social space where people from the same neighbourhood regularly gather to wash, relax and chat. The experience begins with a welcome and settling-in time with your guide, a chance to explain the history and the flow of the hammam beldi ritual, along with the essential codes for enjoying it fully. Then you step into this world of heat and steam, where time seems to slow down. Men and women move separately through the different rooms with their gradually rising temperatures. You coat yourself in black soap, get exfoliated with the traditional glove, and take the time to unwind and release the tension. Guided through the movements, you gradually give way to the sensations. You come out soothed, your skin soft and your body relaxed: a true parenthesis of well-being, simple and deeply local. For us, the best hammam in Agadir is the one you experience with locals, not the one in the spas for tourists!

HOW TO PREPARE WELL FOR YOUR DAY
When you book, let us know the date and time slot of your choice. We recommend the morning (the hammam is less crowded and less hot).
Bring a small bag (men and women are separated, so one bag each) with a towel or fouta, a swimsuit bottom or a spare pair of underwear, a shower gel (no bar soap) and a flask or bottle of water.
During winter, make sure to bundle up well when leaving to avoid catching a cold.
For anyone with heart or circulation problems, it is best to go to the hammam in the morning, when the heat is not yet too intense. In the case of a serious condition, it is better to skip it. The hammam is not recommended for pregnant women. If in doubt, we invite you to consult your doctor.
On the day of your appointment, inform your guide if you have any injuries, sensitive moles, or areas of your body that require special attention.
You can have a done right after the hammam, in the same place (in which case a €5 discount per person will be applied).
