Meet with Mustapha for a pottery workshop in Agadir, far from standardized tourist experiences. A passionate and captivating craftsman, he has been practicing this craft since 1986, trained from an early age alongside his older brother. Today, he runs his workshop and perpetuates artisanal know-how passed down from generation to generation. Upon your arrival, Mustapha will explain the origin of the clay he uses, the different manufacturing steps, as well as the techniques employed. You will then be taken care of by one of his craftsmen to move on to hands-on practice. Very quickly, movement takes over: you focus on the material, on the sensations, and forget everything else. An almost meditative activity, where you set your mind aside to let your hands guide you. You will each create three pieces, progressing step-by-step to master the potter's gestures. The workshop includes the raw firing of your creations, which you can pick up if you wish after about 5 days (variable delay depending on drying time, which relies on the weather). An accessible and soothing pottery workshop in Agadir, ideal for discovering local craft differently, through direct contact with an artisan and his team.

HOW TO PREPARE WELL FOR YOUR AGADIR POTTERY WORKSHOP
Plan this activity for the start of your trip if you would like to collect your piece (yourself), as you will need to allow at least 4 to 5 days for drying and raw firing, and 6 to 7 days if you would like it glazed. Otherwise, you can take it with you at the end of the workshop and let it dry at your hotel before bringing it home!
Please note that clay stains, so even though we lend you a protective apron during the workshop, wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can be stained without any worry!
The length of the workshop depends on your pace and the number of participants, so it can vary noticeably.
THEY TRIED THE AGADIR POTTERY WORKSHOP
